GDPR Statement

What is the GDPR?

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a law in the European Union (EU) that aims to strengthen data protection rules and data privacy for individuals in the EU.

Greatmail and GDPR

Greatmail has always been committed to protecting both the personal data of our customers and the email data stored and relayed using our services. Our Privacy Policy transparently outlines how we manage your data, and we encourage you to review it as posted on our website.

With respect to personal data and information, Article 4 of the GDPR distinguishes the roles of data controllers and data processors:

  • Controller - “means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data”
  • Processor - “means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller”

As an email service provider, Greatmail acts as both a data controller and data processor.

It is important that you read our Privacy Policy to learn more about our roles as data controller and data processor and understand how we manage both your personal data and the information we contractually process for you by using our email services.
